Puglia Plate - Greek Key Pattern Plate with brass wall hook

Using fine terracotta the hand built plates are made over several days. This particular piece is formed using an antique plate sourced in Puglia, Italy. The designs imprinted into the clay are created separately as an object that is pressed into the the plate and then refined. A method of burnishing was used to further define the details.
