ABOUT
IN THE STUDIO
Di Lunedi is a collection of objects inspired by Italian travels and a deep reverence for its nostalgic aesthetics, founded and designed by Elise Eales.
Inspiration comes from the attitudes and details of the Mediterranean. Aged ceramic patinas and tiles that have felt a thousand feet, inform pieces that are intended to feel of a certain place and time.
Collections are imbued with details and influences garnered from time spent creating in far flung places. The use of traditional Italian materials and maiolica techniques add to each design the sense that it has lived a life before. A story that continues with each use.
‘As a child I spent my days playing within my fathers pottery studio, amongst all the clays and tactile objects. For me clay has always held a sense of endless possibilities. Time spent in Italy has further shaped my approach, guiding me to craft objects that evoke a sense of place, time, and connection.’
