Sardine Wall Plate - Carved Pesce with brass wall hook

Using fine terracotta the hand built plates are made over several days. The process of pairing back the clay and refining edges and texture allow each piece to be entirely unique and embrace individual irregularities. 

Italian engobe was used as the base creating a depth of colour. A layering of concentrated Italian pigments was used to create the design. 

This piece is intentionally left unglazed to enhance the depth of colour and matte finish of the engobe. the design is fixed however we encourage that this pieces is used purely decoratively and not for food consumption.
