Puglia plate - Il Sole with brass wall hook

Using fine terracotta this hand built plate is formed using a vintage plate sourced in the markets in Puglia. Made over several days, the process of pairing back the clay and refining edges and texture allow each piece to be entirely unique and embrace individual irregularities. 

This piece is intentionally left unglazed to enhance the carved design and the contrast tones between the clay and engobe. The design is fixed however we encourage that this piece is used purely decoratively and not for food consumption.
