Sardine Plate - Etruscan Face

Hand built in fine earthenware with a terracotta slip brushed over the surface and then carved back in the method of Sgraffito.

Made over several days, the process of pairing back the clay and refining edges and texture allow each piece to be entirely unique and embrace individual irregularities.
